IMPORTANT NOTE

The OBDCheck BLE is NOT compatible with pre-2008 models or G series vehicles (including 2018+ 3 Series, 2017+ X3, 2017+ 5 Series, 2019+ X5, etc.) when used with BimmerCode. It is also not suitable for pre-2008 models when used with BimmerLink. This is a small but powerful OBD2 diagnostic tool that works with various third-party apps to perform different functions. The specific features you get depend on the chosen app and your vehicle. Be sure to check the app and vehicle compatibility from the product images and description and read the user instructions before purchasing or using.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DIAGNOSTICS

For basic functions on OBD II compliant vehicles, when used with generic OBD II apps like Car Scanner ELM OBD2 (see product image 2 for more compatible apps), you can:

• Read and erase engine diagnostic trouble codes (CEL, MIL, SES)
• View freeze frame data
• Check I/M readiness status
• Monitor real-time sensor readings (e.g., O2 readings, engine coolant/oil temperature, mass air flow rate, fuel rail pressure, fuel trim)

These basic diagnostics can help you identify and solve simple engine issues.

ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS & FEATURES

For advanced diagnostics, certain professional apps (which may require separate purchase) provide features such as:

• Diagnostics for other vehicle modules (ABS, airbag, body control, etc.)
• Manufacturer-specific PIDs (e.g., transmission temperature, oil pressure)
• Examination of the HV battery in hybrid and electric vehicles
• Vehicle customization for selected models

DEVICE COMPATIBILITY

• Compatible with iOS via Bluetooth LE. (Do NOT connect through the iOS Bluetooth Settings; connect directly through the OBD apps).
• Compatible with Android via Classic Bluetooth. (Some Android head units may not be compatible. In some cases, the device may show as paired, saved, or previously connected, but just start the app to connect).

VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with model year 1996+ cars and light trucks in the US and 1998+ in Canada for basic OBD II functions (check engine light diagnostics). For hybrid plug-in and electric vehicles, check the Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app to see if there are suitable EV connection profiles available.

Note: Ensure your vehicle’s OBD port is in good condition and that the device fits snugly to connect to the vehicle’s ECU. Powering on does not necessarily mean a good fit.

IMPORTANT APP INFORMATION

There is no Veepeak app that comes with this device. It requires third-party apps that are not included and must be separately downloaded or purchased from the Play Store or App Store. Check product images for all compatible apps.
