CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DIAGNOSTICS (generic features for OBD II compliant vehicles) – When used with generic OBD II Apps such as Car Scanner ELM OBD2 (see product image 3 for more compatible apps), you can read & erase engine diagnostic trouble codes (CEL, MIL, SES), view freeze frame data, oxygen sensor test results, Mode $06 data and I/M readiness, which can help you diagnose simple engine problems.
REAL-TIME SENSOR DATA (standard OBD II PIDs) – Access a whole new world of information about your vehicle directly on your phone or tablet or PC, such speed, engine coolant & oil temperature, Intake air temperature, absolute throttle position, O2 Readings, Mass air flow, Fuel Trim, etc.). You can monitor fuel economy, create your own dashboard, and more to discover.
VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY – Compatible with cars and light trucks with model year from 1996 in the US and from 1998 in Canada (for generic OBD II functions). For PHEVs & EVs, please check whether a suitable connection profile is available in Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app. Note: please make sure your vehicle OBD port is in good condition and the device fits snugly in order to connect to the vehicle ECU (powering on does not necessarily mean a good fit).
A third-party Android OBD App is required to achieve above features (some apps are paid or require in-app purchase for certain features); compatible with Torque Lite/Pro, OBD Fusion, Car Scanner ELM OBD2, and Infocar. Incompatible with Bluedriver, FIXD, BimmerCode, BimmerLink, RepairSolutions Apps. What features you can get mainly depends on the chosen App and your vehicle. Note: Advanced diagnostics (like ABS, SRS) and manufacturer-specific sensor readings (like transmission temperature) are not available for all OBD II vehicles; please check the four product image, instructions for use or contact Veepeak customer support to confirm if there is a proper App for your vehicle.
